Contact Lens Exams at Diplopia: Precision, Comfort, and Personalized Care

At Diplopia, we offer customized contact lens fittings to ensure both comfort and optimal vision. Whether you’re looking for daily disposables, monthly lenses, or multifocal and toric options, we’ve partnered with Alcon to provide the latest in contact lens technology, including Total 30 lenses with blue light protection—something you won’t find in other monthly disposables.

The Contact Lens Fitting Process

Your contact lens exam starts with the tests included in our comprehensive eye exam. Additionally, we take keratometry readings to measure the curvature of the front of your eye, ensuring the perfect fit for your lenses.

Dr. Kyser takes the time to consider your lifestyle when recommending contact lenses. If you work in environments with dust, chemicals, or hairspray, a daily disposable lens may be your best option. We typically avoid recommending extended-wear lenses due to hygiene concerns.

Trial Lenses and Follow-Up Care

At Diplopia, we fit all patients with trial lenses to ensure the best possible fit and vision. These trial lenses, along with follow-up care, are included in the cost of the fitting. We’ll assess how your lenses are performing before placing your final order. Just remember—timely follow-ups are key, so we can monitor your progress closely!

Proper Care for Your Contact Lenses

Dr. Kyser will guide you on the best practices for contact lens care to protect your eyes and maximize the lifespan of your lenses:

  • Always use soft contact lens solution—never tap water or saliva.
  • Discard any lenses that are ripped, chipped, or have debris on them.
  • If your lenses cause discomfort, remove them immediately.
  • Never reuse lenses after an eye infection.
  • Discard old lenses that have been sitting in solution.
  • Always have a backup pair of glasses on hand.
